TEAM GG GLASS CONQUERS LONDON MARATHON HEAT TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY

Four runners from GGF Member company GG Glass ran the hottest London Marathon ever to raise money for national charity Sense

Sunday’s London Marathon was the hottest on record but that didn’t stop the team of runners from GGF Member company GG Glass – they were determined to complete the world famous event and in doing so raise thousands of pounds for Sense, a national disability charity that supports people with complex communication needs.

Sam Grant, Terry Grant, Dan Grant and Dan Ward braved the elements and conquered all 26.2 miles to earn their finishers’ medals and inspire their supporters to donate nearly £6,000 so far.

They now hope to exceed their original fundraising target and are aiming for £8,000. You can help them reach this goal by giving via their official Virgin Money Giving page.

For director Sam Grant it was his second London Marathon, after completing the event last year when he raised £4,000 for Sense.

As well as being joined by his teammates, the 2018 marathon was a different proposition due to the unseasonably warm weather.

Sam explains: “This year’s race was about us all being able to finish the Marathon, due to the extremely hot conditions and making sure we raised as much as we could for this great charity.”

On behalf of the GGF and all GGF Members we want to say well done to Team GG Glass!
