The Security Group Covers the three principle categories of Security Glazing.

The definition of Security Glazing is ‘the means whereby the fear of harm and/or damage is removed or reduced’.

The principal categories of Security Glazing are;-

1) Manual Attack Resistant Glazing

These products are frequently referred to as Anti-Bandit or Anti-Vandal glazing.

The definition of manual attack is a deliberate action on the part of a person made with the intention of creating an opening in the security glazing product by the use of manually held implements or by the use of thrown objects.

2) Bullet Resistant Glazing

These products are also referred to as Glazing resistant to ballistic attack.

The definition of Ballistic attack is a deliberate action on the part of a person or persons made with the intention of threatening or causing personal injury by the use of firearms.

3) Explosion Resistant Glazing

These products are frequently referred to as Blast Resistant Glazing or Glazing resistant to explosion pressure.

The definition of Explosion pressure is an action, either deliberate or accidental, that may cause personal injury, material damage to buildings, property, etc. as a result of an explosive blast.
