A private landlord client requested that we renovate and refurbish a number of doors in their multi-occupancy residence. The work involved the careful de-glazing of the doors, manufacturing bespoke glazing beads, and re-glazing with Schott’s Pyran glass and our Pyroglaze 30 glazing seals. The glazing beads were manufactured by our joinery shop using kiln dried Douglas Fir timber,with the mock ‘Georgian’ beads recessed to accept our Pyrostrip 500 intumescent material.
Other works included fitting new Pyrostrip intumescent seals and CE Marked hinges, installing Pyropost letter plates and applying Pyroplaque birch veneered facing materials to the raised and field panelled areas on the door leaves.
