Global Glass wins G17 Award

At last week’s G17 Awards, Global Glass won the GGF sponsored Glass Company of the Year to cap an outstanding evening for GGF Member companies

Derren Gittins, Glass Manufacturing Director (Global Glass) at Synseal Group commented:

We were delighted to take home the Glass Company of the Year accolade sponsored and judged by the GGF at the G17 Awards. It’s a real testament to all of the hard work of our staff across Global Glass and the wider Synseal Group who have been involved in a number of collaborative working projects to drive quality standards and efficiencies in our four glass plants.

Global Glass’ has enjoyed impressive growth, not only within the last year following the acquisition of their Essex plant, but also more widely across the past six years in which they’ve gone from a standing start to a £40m turnover across four UK based sites. In the last six months alone they’ve grown their weekly unit volumes from 25,000 to 40,000 and have been able to recruit more than 60 new staff members as part of a £10m investment into growing their business.

Derren concluded:

“Our ambition is to become the benchmark for all other glass companies to aspire to. Winning this award is a step in the right direction to achieving that goal. We look forward to building on this reputation in the years to come to deliver an even better service to our 360+ customers.”
