GGF ANNOUNCES 2014 WAGES AND CONDITIONS FOR FLAT GLASS INDUSTRY
The agreement means there is a change to the National Labour Agreement (Green Book) which is now effective until 31 December 2014.
The changes are;
Appendix 1: Schedule of Wage Rates
1.1 An increase of 17p on the basic hourly rates, resulting in the following rates:
Specialist Advanced Craftsperson and Specialist Processor £7.79
Advanced Craftsperson and Multi-skilled Processor £7.32
Craftsperson, Skilled Processor and non-operative HGV Driver £7.02
General Operative, General Processor and non-operative non HGV Driver £6.72

Flat Glass Council issue schedule of Annual Holidays 2014
The following days are to be recognised as Public/Bank Holidays in 2014 for the purposes of the National Joint Council for the Flat Glass Industry National Labour Agreement provided that such days are generally recognised as holidays in the locality in which the work is being done.
England and Wales
New Year’s Day: Wednesday,1 January
Good Friday: Friday, 18 April
Easter Monday: Monday, 21 April
May Bank Day: Monday, 5 May
Spring Bank Holiday: Monday, 26 May
Summer Bank Holiday: Monday, 25 August
Christmas Day: Thursday, 25 December
Boxing Day: Friday, 26 December
Scotland
New Year’s Day: Wednesday, 1 January
2nd January: Thursday, 2 January
