Rest in Peace, Her Majesty the Queen
Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth the II passed away at the age of 96, on September the 8th. The Royal Family released a statement to the public which read: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
Queen Elizabeth reigned for 70 years, after just celebrating her platinum Jubilee in June. The monarch has four children, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, Philip, who passed in April 2021 at the grand age of 99.
Her majesty was rightfully known for her quick wit and sense of humour, as well as her passion for horse riding and her corgi companions, Queen Elizabeth the II was cherished by many and will be sorely missed.
