Government Consultation Document for Approved Documents L & F – Existing Dwellings & Commercial Properties plus the new Approved Document for Overheating on New Dwellings

The Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has now published the Stage 2 Consultation on Approved Document L – Conservation of Fuel & Power and Approved Document F – Ventilation for existing dwellings and commercial buildings (new and existing) along with a yet undesignated document covering overheating in new dwellings.

This follows the consultation in January 2020 covering new dwellings (Government’s review of that Consultation is also available to view).

The Forum will be hosted by David Borland, GGF Senior Technical Officer who commented, “This is a must attend event for GGF Members who are involved in the Home Improvement market or IGU manufacture. There are proposals within the Consultation that will affect production and installations and we urge you to use this Forum to put forward your views. Remember that this is a Road Map to the Net Zero Carbon target which has been agreed by Government. We should all be mindful that the decisions made now will affect how further improvements will be made and when.”

Invitations have been sent out to all Members along with initial GGF response to the Consultation and Members are invited to send their own comments back to the Technical Department at techteam@ggf.org.uk before the Forum.

If for any reason, you have not received your invite then please email David Borland dborland@ggf.org.uk who will send you an invitation.
