GGF to Launch New Chairpersons’ Forum

GGF to Launch New Chairpersons’ Forum

At Members’ Day on 26th September at Hilton Olympia, Mark Austin, Vice-President, announced a new GGF event, “The Chairperson’s Forum”. This new assembly of GGF Members is scheduled for 4th February 2020 in London for GGF elected Chairs to attend to represent their Groups, Committees, Regions and Executives at the Chairperson’s Forum.

The Forum is a new platform for the GGF Board directors and Senior Managers to hear first-hand any concerns or suggestion Members may have across the GGF network of specialist Technical Groups, Committees, Regions and Executives.

If a Chairperson can’t make the meeting on 4th February, then Vice-Chairs will take their place and if both Chair and Vice-Chair can’t attend then the Chair should nominate a Member from the respective Group, Committee, Region or Executive to represent them.

On the new forum, John Agnew, GGF President commented, “The Chairperson’s Forum will provide a new channel for GGF Members to share any issues and ideas to make their trade body stronger and work better for their benefit. I am looking forward to this inaugural event that will improve the communication within the Membership.”

In the coming weeks, the GGF will define the terms of reference, purpose and scope for the Forum and all Chairs will be notified of the details of the Forum with an agenda, venue and times.
