The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is currently seeking a new Director of Technical Affairs to take ownership of the strategic direction of the technical department and provide effective leadership and management to ensure delivery of the Federation’s strategic goals.
The GGF has in the last two years gone through many changes but throughout the transition it has seamlessly maintained its industry-leading position on the technical front; helping shape industry standards, influencing legislation and providing the industry with the best technical information to help guide the daily operations of companies throughout the UK and abroad.
The GGF’s technical influence is far-reaching; from advising government departments, addressing international standards committees, offering technical guidance throughout the supply chain and through providing glass and glazing advice to the general public.
The GGF Director of Technical Affairs is a pivotal high profile role within the Federation’s infrastructure and one which offers many challenges and rewards. The GGF Technical department prides itself on having both a broad scope and significant output that includes: producing high-quality publications, responding to government consultations, advising companies on a daily basis, presenting at industry events, product testing and guiding companies on compliance with regulations and legislation.
The person taking on this role must have experience of strategic planning, budgeting and resource management at senior level. A strong passionate leader and team player, the Director of Technical Affairs will be an inspirational individual preferably with a construction industry background. Most importantly the right candidate will match the GGF’s drive-in raising and promoting the industry’s highest standards.
