Window Film Group

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) formed the Window Film Group in the 1980s.

Window film is an affordable and viable option to upgrade the glass in windows, doors, and curtain walling. It can reduce solar heat gain and glare, improve energy savings, improve thermal insulation, filter at least 99% of UV rays, improve safety and security (it is a counter-terrorism measure), improve explosion blast mitigation, increase privacy and add decoration, provide manifestation, signage, and branding options, and protect glass from graffiti and vandalism.

Window film application is one of the most cost-effective and popular methods to substantially reduce heating and cooling costs in buildings by reducing the amount of heat transfer through glass.

The Window Film Group meets regularly and welcomes companies who have an interest in the window film sector from throughout the supply chain.
