• Calculations
  We offer various calculations which can be used to determine the strength of glass, for example with respect to its ability to resist barrier or snow loading. The information required for these calculations makes it more sensible for the glazing supplier to request this service.
• Laboratory Testing
  For example, after a breakage assessment has confirmed the presence of an inclusion
• Condensation Prediction Calculations
  For example, to understand the likelihood on condensation at design stage

We don’t have fixed or list prices for our services. We provide a personalised quotation based on the complexity and extent of the issue(s).

Once a quote is accepted and the deposit payment made a date for the inspection is agreed upon, typically within 2-3 weeks. Once the inspection is completed, we’ll compile the report which typically takes 10 working days from the date of the site inspection. The report can then be issued as soon as any remaining balance is paid.

Once a quote is accepted and the deposit payment made the desktop assessment can begin. Timeframe will depend upon the complexity and extent f the assessment, and in some cases the availability of the Subject Matter Expert within the Technical Department. As an example, a static calculation can usually be completed and a report compiled within 5 working days.

Some activities & requests will be outside the scope of GGF involvement. For example:

• Performing repairs or mechanical adjustments
• Deglazing of the glass element e.g. insulated glass unit from window frame. In instances where this is required for us to satisfactorily complete the inspection, an appropriate third-party professional should be arranged by the client
• Estimate costs for remedial or replacement works
• Estimate timeframes for remedial or replacement works
• Comment on previously undertaken works which are no longer available for inspection in person
• Comment on contractual disputes not related to technical matters, for example:
o Verbal agreement about specification, discount, completion timeframes etc.
o Cancelled service appointments or installation dates
o Disputes involving payment balances
• Matters outside our area of expertise
