A New Era for Timber: Join the First ‘Meet the Experts’ Session

Events, Meetings, Members News, Membership News, News, Technical News | 16.06.25

We’re delighted to announce that the GGF have been invited to a brand-new session, ‘Meet the Experts’ hosted by The Joinery Network this Friday 20th June.

TJN recently announced a launch of a brand-new series, in addition to ‘The Joinery Hour’, called Meet the Experts starting this Friday, at 8am.

Following the announcement of our strategic partnership at this year’s FIT Show, the GGF and TJN are coming together to explore the important role of timber products in today’s market – and what the future holds!

Our very own Managing Director Ben Wallace and Head of Commercial and Operations Lauren Mawford will be joining the discussion, talking about how we’re collaborating to best support the timber window and door industry and the benefits of joining GGF Membership if you work in this sector.

Andy Ball, Sales and Marketing Director at TJN, said: “On 20 June, we’re kicking off a brand-new season of monthly sessions called Meet the Experts, and what could be more exciting than starting with not just one, but two special guests – Ben Wallace and Lauren Mawford, both from GGF.

“The timing is spot on. Interest in timber has increased massively over the past few years. With GGF establishing a dedicated timber group, this builds on the momentum we’re already seeing.

“Timber windows and doors aren’t just for hard-to-treat properties anymore. We’re seeing growing demand from homeowners looking to restore timber in period properties, and many are choosing timber for new builds and extensions due to its sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

“Demand for timber is definitely on the rise, and both installation and manufacturing companies moving into timber can expect the same support and benefits enjoyed by other GGF members.”

Andy added: “This promises to be an exciting session, and it will include a Q&A segment for attendees.”

You don’t want to miss this brand-new session, led by the experts! Register for The Joinery Hour here

VEKA Recycling

We’re delighted to announce that the GGF has partnered with new recycling collection providers to make uPVC window recycling even easier.

If your business is located within 50 miles of VEKA Recycling’s facility in Wellingborough, you’re now eligible for free collection!

Previously, the GGF recycling scheme required units to be deglazed from their frames prior to collection. That’s no longer necessary – windows can now be handed over exactly as they’ve been removed from the property.

Simply complete the enquiry form using the button below to arrange your free collection. Our partners at VEKA Recycling will take care of the rest!
