The ACDM was formed in 2002 in response to the growing demand for and the increasing number of door manufacturers offering Composite pedestrian entrance doorsets to the UK housing market. It was acquired by the GGF in 2025 when all ACDM members became part of the GGF community and now sits as its own technical group within the GGF.
