The GGF has published payment advice for consumers which covers deposits, methods and stages of payment.
John Agnew, GGF Managing Director commented, “In light of the recent insurance market changes around deposit protection and to help provide more consumer confidence in our industry at this difficult time, we hope this advice will help consumers with the payment process for their home improvement work.”
The advice flags up the changes in deposit protection, how it impacts on Competent Person Scheme providers and highlights the best ways to pay to protect deposits under Section75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
