The Business Secretary Alok Sharma announced last week that it is the “legal duty” of employers to keep staff and customers safe and that anyone found to be ignoring the guidance could face legal action under Health & Safety laws and even two years in prison. With this and the HSE rapidly increasing the regularity of its spot checks, putting your COVID-secure risk assessment in place has to be your number one priority.
