GGF Members win Health and Safety Awards

The 2012 Annual Glass Industry Health and Safety Conference held in Stoke-on-Trent last week saw several Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) Members win awards for their Health and Safety practice.

GGF SUPPORTS NO VAT FOR LISTED BUILDINGS IMPROVEMENTS

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) joined forces with a broad coalition of organisations to write to the Chancellor George Osborne urging him not to press ahead with a 20% increase in VAT on approved alterations to listed buildings.

GGF Pleased with TGO Progress

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is pleased The Glazing Ombudsman (TGO) recently gained formal accreditation as an Ombudsman member by the British and Irish Ombudsman Association (BIOA) and has now become the official ombudsman scheme for settling domestic glazing installation complaints within the UK.

GGF Defends PVC-U Windows

The GGF recently responded to a damning article about PVC-U windows. The article by Dr Simon Thurley, Chief Executive of English Heritage was published in the Financial Times and highlighted Dr Thurley’s perceived dangers of adapting and upgrading older buildings, especially when replacing windows.
