GGF CONTACTS BBC ON EXPLODING GLASS DISCUSSION

The GGF responded immediately to the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2 Friday 10th June which included discussion on exploding glass furniture and glass shower screens shattering.

This is causing consumers concern over the safety and the legitimacy of such glass products.

In an emailed statement during the live broadcast, the GGF underlined its own concerns.

“The Glass & Glazing Federation is most concerned and surprised to hear of glass furniture and glass products exploding. Being the leading authority of the industry, consumer safety and protection is of paramount importance to our organisation and our member companies. The GGF is happy to offer free advice to consumers and to refer consumers to a safe and trusted GGF member company. By using a GGF member company, consumers benefit from our consumer protection services and our technical expertise. We ask all concerned consumers to visit www.ggf.org.uk for further information and advice.”

The BBC responded thanking the GGF and has invited the GGF to comment once the story is uploaded on the Jeremy Vine Homepage on the BBC website.
