Being the industry authority, the GGF promotes best practice and sets the highest technical and health & safety standards. The Federation is also the voice of the industry in local and national politics helping shape and influence policy and legislation. As well as offering an array of benefits to its members, the GGF guides and protects homeowners when buying glass or glazing products and services.
The GGF has issued its Formal Response to the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Consultation to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
The GGF is currently undergoing its first Strategy Review for over ten years. The review will look at the governance, control, structure and the long term strategies of the GGF and its group of subsidiary companies including FENSA, GGFi, BFRC (British Fenestration Ratings Council) and Borough IT.

The Glass and Glazing Federation will have a change of Presidency from Jan 1st 2012, with Mark Warren of Lister Trade Frames taking over from Phil Brown of Pilkington.
