Fire Resistant Glazing Group

Fire Resistant glazing provides protection for lives and property in the event of fire

All FRGG members must follow the guide and all it sets out

Fire Resistant Glazing Best Practice Guide

Referenced within the Building Regulations for Fire Safety (England & Wales) this guide highlights the key issues relating to the use of fire resistant glazed systems. All FRGG Members follow the principles in this guide and it is also provides useful information for Specifiers, Designers, Suppliers, Installers and Building Owners.

All of these parties along the supply chain are extremely important, for no matter how well the product has been manufactured, if the specification is wrong it will never be fit for purpose and not meet the Building Owner's needs. This is also true if the product is installed incorrectly - remember this product will only ever be tested if there is a fire by which time it will be too late to ask the specifier/installer to come back and do their job correctly.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Specifiers

The FRGG has a CPD Rated presentation on fire resistant glass – contact marketing@ggf.org.uk if you would like one of our team to speak to your colleagues.
